This Sunday we held an event at the Rajpath Club in Ahmedabad to celebrate all that has been accomplished at Hunar Ghar to date and to share our future plans as we grow as an organisation in India.
As we grow as an organisation in India, and register in the country, we are excited about connecting with new people who may be inspired to support Hunar Ghar.
The event on Sunday was kindly organised by Kushal and Era Desai, who are leading the foundation of Educate for Life in India. It was a celebration of Hunar Ghar, with a photo gallery of the school and videos, as well as a look at the next 10 years.
A major part of the event was presented by the team from Hunar Ghar – Imrana, Khyali, Shobhag, Ajeet, and Gopal. They shared stories of the children and community and their experiences in supporting integrated education and healthcare for the children.
We are very grateful to everyone who came. We received lots of offers of support. Several people are also planning to visit Hunar Ghar. Educate for Life advocates for the rights of marginalised children in rural areas to live a life of dignity. We are excited to welcome our new visitors to Hunar Ghar so they may see for themselves the inspiring hard work the children and teachers put in, then decide with us how they can support them.
In the next few months, we’ll be starting a programme where you can come and visit Hunar Ghar on the last Friday of every month (except in May and June, when the school is closed). If you’d like to visit or support the project, please get in touch. Do come and be inspired by our incredible team and our wonderful school community.
