The Hunar Ghar children are wonderful. Last Friday our teacher Nandlal was not feeling well after lunch, so he went home sick. After study time of half an hour I came back from home visits of our new children and when I arrived I found all our children alone but were doing some work. They were looking at a chart made by Nandlal showing trees and fruits with their names written in Hindi, English and the local language. All the children had also made some picture and written his name in English.

When I came I asked where Nandlalji was and a child told me how he was feeling unwell and gone home. I asked them what they were doing. Vikram told me ‘We are making picture, painting and writing our names in English’. I said fine. Then Rumarma asked me to teach them English. I said OK, and asked the children how I should teach them English. Vikram suggested that the children shall make a picture and that I would then write what they have written in English. Then all children and I did a lot of enjoy and did our work.

This was a very wonderful day for me, which I will not ever forget. All children doing his work, no fighting in class without teacher, all children doing his work with peace, children looking to each other, copying and learning from each other. The children gave many suggestions, Deepak we want new copies, we want to learn English in our way, we shall make our
picture and Deepak you will write in English and the children and I had a lot of fun and we did lot of enjoy.

The children took a lot of incentive so I am very, very happy and impressed with children.
